The Tie - a short film

This is a semi-illustrated series. I’ve humanized the ties below in the form of an illustration placed on top of the rest of the film being live-action.

A bunch of ties are hanging out in a closet.

There’s one party tie. It was last picked by the owner a few years ago.

It’s picked one night, and every tie in the closet is excited for the party tie. They all tell him how it’s going to be incredible and how he’s going to have an amazing night, etc.

Party tie is shown in a nightclub, nervous and apprehensive at first but is shown loosening up and eventually partying and having a good time.

The owner meets a woman, and party tie is excited for the owner.

He finds himself being taken off by the owner.

The tie says - Now we’re getting somewhere!

He then finds himself being tied around something and thinks - Alright, she’s kinky!

And just as he is setting his hair straight and checking his breath, he feels himself being tightened. Tightened too hard.

He looks around, I mean really looks.

He sees hair. He sees collarbones.

And he feels himself strangling her.

He feels her blood pulsing through his body, and feels it stop. He feels her trying to set herself free, he feels her struggle. And finally, he feels the life drain out of her.

He returns to the owner’s closet.

The other ties ask him how it went.

He shrugs nonchalantly and says - It was just like last time.
